WHY YOU NEED IT
HEALTHY HAIR
Hair becomes the topic of discussion early on in the school year. Let’s maintain vibrantly healthy locks and banish cause for concern.
• Lavender
• Rosemary
• Tea Tree
• Lavender Mint Shampoo & Conditioner
(DIY: Add 5-7 drops of each to a 4oz spray bottle of 1oz vodka and 3oz water and just a pinch of sea salt. (For a leave-in detangling spray: omit sea salt and add 1tsp of Lavender Mint conditioner.) Shake well, and spray generously on wet or dry hair every morning. Since this spray has the aroma of the finest salon, nobody would ever be the wiser that you are actually preventing a less than desirable hair snafu.

NUTRITIONAL WELLNESS
Back to school schedules can be hectic, and the last thing that should ever be overlooked is how we start the day. A solid breakfast loaded with protein is essential for a successful day. Protein helps to maintain proper glutathione levels, especially when consumed every three hours for those who have challenges staying focused. I love to mix up a smoothie in the morning with breakfast for my kids to share. This really fills their tummies and gives them a great start on the day. I add a little natural peanut butter for extra protein in the morning! Breakfast idea: eggs and ham are always a great choice and can be prepared in advance by serving a hard boiled egg and ham cubes. Who said charcuterie style is an evening treat?
• Balance Complete, Pure Protein or Power Meal
• Protein Bites (think: blueberry breakfast bar!)
• NingXia Red

OVERALL WELLNESS
Our health starts in our gut. It is vitally important to create a healthy gut that flourishes! The school year introduces more sugar into the diet with grab-and-go snacks, vending machines, school treats, and Halloween. This increase in sugar creates the ideal environment for a weakened immune system. It is no coincidence that sick season lines up perfectly with Halloween thru Easter.
